The 99

Mathew 18;12

"What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one goes astray, does he not leave the 99 on the mountains and go in search of the one who went astray?" 

Did you know that there are over 2 million items lost at airports each year. Did you also know that over 30 % of the items lost in airport are never retrieved, and the reason those 600,000 items are not ever found is because the rightful owner gives up looking when they leave the airport. I can only assume that that is because the owner feels that their time is more valuable than their stuff, or that the stuff is replaceable. Imagine if God viewed us in that same way when we are lost. What would heaven look like if he said oh well, I lost them I will just get another. Thankfully we serve a God who loves us enough to come after us when we go astray. And continue to pursue us until we are found. Just like that 1 sheep.

Thank you, God, that you love us enough to keep looking for us when we are lost. Use me in a way that i can help you find those who have gone astray.

So, I wrote this devotional a couple of days ago. With an inspiration from something i heard on the radio. One of the things that keeps me positive about this whole situation is that i believe in my heart that God loves someone or someones enough to send my husband to the federal prison system to help God find his lost sheep.
